Lady Gaga appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night, ostensibly to talk about her pregnancy causing performance with Bradley Cooper during the Oscars. Jimmy wasted no time in asking her about her relationship with BCoops, to which she rolled her eyes and replied with this all time lie:
“OK, first of all,” she began, “social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet … and what it has done to pop culture is abysmal. And, yes, people saw love and, guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see.
“This is a love song, ‘Shallow,’ The movie, ‘A Star Is Born,’ it’s a love story,” she continued. “We worked so hard, we worked all week on that performance.”
“From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time,” she added. “I mean, look I’ve had my arms wrapped around Tony Bennett for three years touring the world. When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel.”
When Kimmel jokingly asked if she was having an affair with Bennett, she hammed it up for the cameras before saying, “No! I’m an artist. And, I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!”
Now while I agree that social media is the toilet of the internet (follow me on IG: Thelaststawp and Twitter @thelaststawp!!) and that she most likely did not hook up with Tony Bennett, I do not believe anything else that she said. “Oh we were just performing, its your fault for not understanding how great we are at it.” GTFOH with that nonsense. Gaga must think I am an idiot. I didn’t believe Brangelina when they denied being romantically involved, I didn’t believe Julia Roberts when she said she was not dating that cameraman, and I certainly do not believe Gaga here. She can lie to Jimmy Kimmel and herself all she wants. I’m not buying it. When the Gagapocalypse is upon us and LadyCoops is running wild all over the world, please remember who was on the right side of history.
