On the same day as Luke Perry, no less. King Kong Bundy was the first wrestler I absolutely hated with all my guts. His program with Hulk Hogan was the first real story line I followed in wrestling. The only thing that made me more angry than Bundy splashing Hogans ribs to smithereens on “Saturday Nights Main Event” was when Paul Orndorff turned on Hogan. But I digress. Even though he didn’t capture the belt from Hogan inside the steel cage at Wrestlemania 2, that match did lead to the best line in Lord Alfred Hayes’* long career. Anyways, RIP, Master of the 5 Count.
